Complex Structural Manufacturing

We have proven experience in supporting complex design, manufacturing, and assembly efforts for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. Successfully completed projects include communication systems, submarine battle management centers, payload trays, U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) stowage canisters, wet stowage modules, and special support equipment for the Virginia Class submarines.
Our state-of-the-art fabrication, machine, and mechanical repair shop at our Chesapeake, Va., facility supports on-location MSD capabilities.
  • Specialized design, engineering, and fabrication for commercial or marine applications
  • Structural and sheet metal fabrication
  • Complex component machining using boring mills, lathes, and water jetting
  • Disassembly/assembly, inspection, repair, machining, and testing of air, water, and hydraulic valves and components
  • In-shop repair, overhaul, reinstallation, and testing of ships’ weapons and ordnance system components, including missile and torpedo handling and launcher systems

Non-Destructive Testing

Our non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities support shipboard Level 3 services (UT, MT, VT, and PT) in accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Technical Publication T9074-AS-GIB-010/271.
Our expertise includes multiple capabilities and certifications.
  • MT—Dry and underwater magnetic particle inspections
  • PT—Liquid penetrant inspections
  • UT—Thickness, flaw, and automated corrosion mapping and ultrasonic inspections
  • ET—Eddy current inspections
  • AWS/CWI—American Welding Society/Certified Welding Inspector
